What is a Muraprint™?
What is the process?
The original image is put into a digital file and printed to size on canvas. Artist paint, rather than ink, is used to print the painting. A computer generated airbrush is used to paint the image. Once the image is airbrushed, the artist continues the painting process by hand, adding color, tone, texture, or special details so that each Muraprint™ is a unique and customized original. Each Muraprint™ is signed and numbered one of one. Muraprints™ can be removed.
What does it cost?
The general pricing is $100 per square foot. An enhanced Muraprint™ is generally 40% less than the price of an original commissioned custom mural. As the mural size increases the square foot price decreases. Certain types of customizing could affect the price.
This Mural was commissioned for the 2004 Jacksonville Symphony Show House.
This is available as a Muraprint™. Notice the difference between the original (left)
as it was painted in the studio, and how it looks intalled in the Show House (right).
The original canvas mural on the left was cut down the middle and installed on either side of the arched window.
The entire sky was painted on location after the mural was pasted in place.
